Install Kitsuvo on Windows or Mac
Less AI, less Slop. Free for Mac and Windows, with no account. The Mac installers are signed and notarized. The Windows installer is unsigned and may show an unknown-publisher warning. Here is what each prompt means and how to continue.
Kitsuvo: A browser for less AI clutter. Free for Mac and Windows. It filters likely AI-built websites out of Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo results and shows the evidence behind each score, so you can open any hidden page or switch filtering off.
Version 0.2.4. On a Mac, choose your chip type in the Mac installer section: Apple silicon or Intel. On Linux, ChromeOS or a phone, see other systems.
Quick answers
- Is it free? Yes. The browser and every check that runs on your computer are free, with no account. Kitsuvo Plus is an optional paid plan for cloud AI checks without bringing your own API keys.
- Is it safe to run? The files come from kitsuvo.com, which redirects to Kitsuvo's release storage on Vercel (an address ending in
public.blob.vercel-storage.com). The Mac installers are signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple. The Windows installer is unsigned and may show an unknown-publisher warning. Download only from the links on this page or the home page. Kitsuvo itself sends no telemetry, runs detection on your computer, and lists every connection it makes in Settings, Privacy. See the privacy policy. - Will it replace my browser? No. It installs as its own app next to the one you use now.
- Can I undo it? Yes. To clear browsing records first, use Settings → Privacy → Erase browsing data (called Erase everything in version 0.2.4). API keys and downloaded files stay; remove keys in Settings → AI if needed. Then uninstall Kitsuvo like any other app.
Windows
The Windows installer is built for 64-bit (x64) PCs. Kitsuvo has not published a Windows on ARM build.
- Download the Windows installer. If your current browser says the file is not commonly downloaded, choose Keep.
- Open it. If Windows shows
Windows protected your PC
with an unknown publisher, select More info, then Run anyway. This prompt appears because the installer is not code-signed. - Finish the installer, then open Kitsuvo from the Start menu.
Mac
There are two Mac installers. Open the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, and look at the chip line. A name starting with Apple M
means Apple silicon. Intel
means an Intel Mac.
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile and drag Kitsuvo into Applications. - Open Kitsuvo from Applications. If macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet, confirm that you downloaded it from kitsuvo.com.
If macOS says the app is damaged or cannot be verified, download a fresh copy from the links above. If the warning remains, email hello@kitsuvo.com with the exact text and your macOS version.
What you see on first launch
Kitsuvo opens a short introduction, five steps, and does not ask you to create an account. Local checks need no API key. Automatic updates are off unless you turn them on. With filtering on, results from recognized AI-builder hosting in Google, Bing and DuckDuckGo fold into a Hidden by Kitsuvo
line that you can open.
Linux, ChromeOS and other systems
The browser runs on macOS and Windows only. There is no Linux or ChromeOS build. Three things can still help:
- Send this link to a Mac or Windows computer using your own email app. Nothing is sent to Kitsuvo.
- Try the browser extension preview. It shows the same builder evidence for the page you are reading. It is a developer preview, tested on Windows and macOS, and not tested on Linux.
- Follow releases to hear when anything changes.
iPhone, iPad and Android
The iOS and Android apps are not publicly listed yet, and the installers above do not run on a phone. Send the download link to your computer and open it there.
Follow releases
- Atom feed of every browser release, for any feed reader.
- Release notes on this site, newest first.
- Star or watch the integrations repository on GitHub (use Watch, then Custom, then Releases) for the plugin, MCP server and extension previews.
- Email us to be told about releases. This opens your email app and sends a message to hello@kitsuvo.com. There is no sign-up form. Website audience measurement is described in our privacy policy.
